Susmiadi Gallery
Painter and Art Collector
About Me
Susmiadi, S.T. is a painter from Jember, East Java, widely recognized for his productivity and lifelong dedication to the art of painting. After completing his service as the Subdistrict Head (Camat) of Kencong, he now devotes his time fully to the world of art, using painting as a medium to express humanity and compassion.
His passion for art began at a young age. Throughout his career in public service, he continued to nurture his artistic pursuits, eventually producing thousands of paintings across various styles — including naturalism, realism, abstraction, and impressionism. He also explores unique materials such as feather‑based painting, demonstrating his courage in artistic experimentation.
Susmiadi believes that art is not only about aesthetics, but also about empathy and human values. He actively initiates social‑driven art activities, including charity auctions where his paintings are sold to support underprivileged communities. Through these efforts, he combines creativity with social responsibility.
Now in his retirement, Susmiadi continues to paint from his private studio in Kencong, turning each brushstroke into a reflection of his life journey and personal spirituality. He envisions art as a bridge between beauty and kindness — inspiring audiences both in Indonesia and around the world.
